SCM free forecast run

Can the SCM run in free forecast mode without the forcing data? If yes, how to set up a free forecast run? If no, what changes needed to perform such runs?

Anning,

I'm not sure what you mean by "free forecast". You can zero out forcing if that is what you want. Either write a script to read in the forcing file and write out a copy with zeros for all forcing terms or perhaps use NCO. It is also not hard for me to add a flag in the model to bypass application of forcing terms, if this is a feature that you need.
