Hurricane Dorian datasets

Hello,

I was wondering if I can get your help to download the required datasets to run HWRF for hurricane Dorian. I am not sure if that's something I can find online. I am searching for data from 18 UTC on August 24, 2019 - 27,2019.

Hi Hana,

The input dataset are large and take resources to get them from other sources. Unfortunately, we do not provide dataset upon request to users. There are many publicly available retrospective dataset you can utilize to run the HWRF model (sometimes in a scaled back way, refer to alternate configurations in the HWRF Users guide). Here is a document which lists the publicly available data knows to us at the time of writing the document. The GFS ensemble files will be difficult to get for past storms. You can run HWRF without data assimilation, if you want.
